Launched in October 2017, SOHFIT was started on a very simple premise: there has to be more to getting fit than spending fruitless hours on boring workouts and impossible-to-implement diets.
SOHFIT’s highly personalised and individually tailored programmes focus on keeping it simple and going back to basics. At SOHFIT we strongly believe that every wellness regime must have an X-factor. At SOHFIT, that X-factor is having fun and being part of a community.
SOHFIT is more than just a workout, it’s a lifestyle. It is about feeling good, both on the inside and outside. Through SOHFIT’s online (Online Fitness Plans, Virtual Training & the Challenges) and offline offerings (Bootcamps & Personal Training in Mumbai), Sohrab and his team of experienced coaches aim to change people’s perspective on fitness.
“To me, fitness is not purely about muscle gain or even weight loss for that matter. It is the ability and the confidence to do things you never thought your body could do. It is a state of mind. Don’t train for a special occasion, train for life.”
Sohrab gave up a 15-year long career in corporate law to follow his passion for fitness. Fitness has always been a way of life for him. Despite all-nighters at work, closing multi-million dollar deals, Sohrab has always found time to coach not only himself, but also friends and colleagues, to a healthier lifestyle. Finding the time to stay fit is the most important part of his day.
Sohrab’s journey into the fitness world started 20 years ago as a teenager. Having played cricket at a semi-professional level, fitness was paramount for him to improve at his sport. Initially, he followed the usual gym routine but soon found himself bored and looking for something different. Sohrab has always looked to challenge himself and his body in the gym and that is exactly what he tries to do with each one of his clients. With an entire life-time spent in fitness, his true passion lies in guiding all walks of people towards a better life.
Sohrab is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and has successfully completed (a) the Rehab Trainer Essentials; (b) the Rehab Trainer Masterclass; and (c) the Art of Breath 101 Course. He is also a MobilityWOD Mobility and Movement Specialist after having successfully completed the Starrett System Movement and Mobility 101.
