The 40 day challenge came to me at the perfect time because I was honestly so bored of my routine of working out and being conscious of my diet, that I was losing all my motivation to do anything at all. But one thing I knew for sure is that this community would help me achieve whatever goals I set for myself and especially that lost motivation. I wanted to feel like part of something rather than just working out because I had to. I wanted to look forward to and enjoy my workouts and not look at it as another task. I wanted to feel stronger fitter and healthier in the process. And this challenge has been exactly that. I am absolutely not a morning person but I feel I made an extra effort to make it to class. Not because I had to, but because I wanted to. I think I worked out 37 days out of 40! I cant believe I looked forward to working out. EVERYDAY! I was genuinely excited to see the WODs and sweat it out! I have hated running all my life and now I am actually sad that we're not going to get a running workout for Saturday. I loved the workouts. They were so engaging. The pace was perfect. Documenting my food actually made so conscious of what I eat, that I would not want to cheat. Nonie’s recipes were so amazing - going to keep making stuff from there even after the challenge. The team was very very approachable and hands on. Makes you feel like there is some purpose here and it’s not just some commercial gimmick. The group’s energy has always been absolutely great. Being in class makes me push myself to do things I thought I couldn’t do. Nonie and Parvez are amazing!! I can’t stress on how much I love them. Overall I am just super glad to be a part of SOHFIT, and the 40 Day Challenge of course! As far as my personal growth is concerned, I do feel fitter. I could barely run but now I can to do a whole bridge run in under 8 minutes! I could barely hold a plank for 30 seconds and today I was doing 45 seconds with ease!! I still have a long long way to go and maybe I’ll have to put in an extra effort to get to where I want to be. But with the support from you guys, I feel the need to stress a little less :) I now know there can be a fun life without bread, cheese and cake and I will survive!
