2016 was the year I was going to turn 30. Life was in most ways perfect. I was working a job I love, travelling a whole lot (which back then was good enough of an excuse to not eat right) and on paper there was nothing to complain about. However, there was a gaping hole- I was in the worst shape I had been in my adult life. I felt unfit and unhealthy, which also lead to mental lethargy.

At that point, Sohrab took me under his wing and managed to bring about a discipline in me that I never knew I possessed. Midnight binge sessions, uninformed work outs and mindless cardio-get fit sessions soon became a thing of the past.

All of us respond to trainers in different ways. What worked for me is Soh’s patience towards training me and at the same time pushing me without adding any pressure. He is disciplined, focused, understands the science behind it and leads by example. I had no choice but to look up to him for that. Hence there was an added motivation to not let him down. His buddy approach and attitude really made the whole process fun. Clichéd as it might sound, he made the gym a happy place to be at!

In the last 18 months, I have dropped almost 19 kilos. More than just the number on the scale, I feel great! I have become more confident since I am now in control of my workouts, diet and lifestyle choices. I feel mentally sharper as well and I am able to pack much more into my life.

If I haven’t said it enough already- I feel extremely lucky for the commitment Soh made to change my life! He is made to do this and I am over the moon that he has found his calling. What a difference he can make to people lives – emotionally and physically!
